We’ve been doing a lot of renovations at home. We’re currently working on finishing up the kitchen (I didn’t realize how much there needs to be done when a family decides to “redo” their kitchen!), and Dave and his brother and mom just finished painting the outside of the house. They’re also tackling painting the hallways and the back steps. It makes the whole house look very fresh, but the immediate aftermath is that there is a lot of cleaning and dusting and vacuuming to do. I do not like this part at all. Living in chaos for the sake of a better outcome (hopefully) doesn’t make me function very well. I hate when my routine goes out of whack! I think even in this case, Lily is doing much better than I am in terms of emotional stability with all this renovation work! I wish we had a central vacuum that would just suck up everything and make my job easier. If only!
